1932 - 2016 PITTSFIELD, MA Mrs. Beryl C. Wasnewsky, 83, passed away on March 24, 2016 at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility. Born in Holyoke, MA on October 24, 1932 the daughter of Paul and Emma Whitmore Winters she graduated from Dover High School. Mrs. Wasnewsky moved to Pittsfield in 1959 and was a Homemaker, raising her six children. Beryl was a very talented sketch artist. She had a passion for animals, especially horses and dogs, and loved vacationing with her husband and family in Cape Cod. Beryl enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Beryl will be sadly missed by her family. She leaves her beloved husband of 63 years, Charles Wasnewsky, whom she married on August 30, 1952 in Medway, MA. She is also survived by five children, Linda Duffy and her husband Rich, Susan Dumouchel and her husband Phil, Mark Wasnewsky and his wife Joyce (Goddeau), Judie Kelly and her husband Brian, and Lisa Wasnewsky; a sister, Marcia Johnston; 10 grandchildren, Erin, Nicole, Aimee, Christine, Luke, Shannon, Matthew, Cory, Taylor, and Brian; and four great grandchildren, Madison, Ellie, Lauryn, and Andrew. She was predeceased by a son, Michael J. Wasnewsky, who passed away on October 8, 1990. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Beryl C. Wasnewsky will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 12 noon at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA with the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will precede the service from 10 a.m. until noon.
