Betty J. Antonio

1941 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Betty Josephine Antonio, 73, of 193 Church Street, died July 11, 2014, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Phoenix, Ariz., on March 7, 1941, a daughter of Wiletto and Alice (Gorman) Antonio. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was an accomplished painter and art instructor in her international career that spanned over 50 years. In recent years she taught painting at the Mary Spitzer Center. Survivors include two daughters, Catarina Tolar of North Adams, and Cynthia Tolar of Houston; two sons, Robert Tolar of North Adams and Jon Tolar of Llano, Texas; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two brothers, Norman Antonio and Gerard Rothes. FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral to celebrate the life of Betty Antonio will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
