Bronson Binger

1930 - 2013 HOUSATONIC Bronson Binger, 83, died Dec. 23, 2013, at his home due to complications from renal failure. Born Oct. 17, 1930, in New York, N.Y., he was the son of Walter and Beatrice (Sorchan) Binger. An architect, city planner and landmarks preservationist from Brooklyn, N.Y., Bronson moved to Housatonic in 2012. Bronson is survived by his partner/significant other, Ann Gaffney; her children, Elizabeth Gaffney and Walker Gaffney; his sister Frances B. Mitchell; former wives, Susan S. Binger and Julia C. Wang; children, Lucie Spieler (Jay Spieler), Sarah B. James (Aaron C. James), Walter D. Binger, step-children Timothy Wang (Alison Kulber), Katharine Wang (Canice Harte); grandchildren, William Spieler (Shahrzad Spieler), Rachel James Kosbar (Bert Kosbar), David Spieler, Frederic Spieler (Sheryl Chocron Spieler), Anna James, and great-grandchild Emily Kosbar. He was predeceased by his sister, Charlotte Hasen; by daughter, Emily Cooper, and by grandson, Isaac James FUNERAL NOTICE: A funeral service will be held in January at the Guild Hall of Grace Church in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, N.Y., at a date to be announced.
