Calvin L. Ritcher 1934 - 2012 NORTH ADAMS Calvin Lester Ritcher, 78, of 61 Willow Dell died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Blair House in Worcester. Born in Clarksburg on March 6, 1934, son of Elroy and Ada (Braman) Ritcher, he attended schools in Clarksburg and North Adams. Calvin worked at Sprague Electric Co. and later was the bar manager at the Artery Lounge. He was last employed at Williams College for 16 years until his retirement. After his retirement, he worked at VFW Post #996 in North Adams. Calvin was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Adams. He was a life member of the Greylock Community Club and was also a member of the Mountain Club and the Elks. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Survivors include his wife, the former Evelyn King, whom he married on March 21, 1987; two daughters, Lillian Ritcher of North Adams and Carol Bessette of Virginia; three sons, Calvin Ritcher Jr. and Dana Ritcher of North Adams, and Alex Ritcher of the state of Florida; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Dawn LaPlante of Dalton, Deborah Dempsey and Donna Miller of North Adams, and Eugene Shade of Shirley; eight step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren; one sister, Caroline Brazeau of North Adams; two brothers, Robert Ritcher of Doreen, Ore., and Clarence Ritcher of Clarksburg, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister and four brothers, including Veronica Crockwell, Arthur Ritcher, Edward LaRoche, Henry Raymond, and Theodore Raymond.
