Carlene J. (Carlo) Pierson

1938 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Carlene J. (Carlo) Pierson, 76, passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on February 28, surrounded by her family. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna H. Stefanski. Carlene graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1956 and later from the Elms College in 1990 after battling cancer. She worked many places throughout her life including Massachusetts Division of Employment Services, Berkshire County House of Corrections, General Electric, and Berkshire Medical Center from where she retired in 2006. She enjoyed visiting Quebec, Canada once a year until the age of 15 and visiting her family in California after retirement. She enjoyed decorating, shopping, and cooking. She attended Reigning Love Church and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs. She is survived by two children, daughter, Tina Armstrong and her husband, Brian, of Pittsfield; and son Michael Carlo and wife, Diane, of Eldorado Hills., Calif.; three grandchildren, Christopher Armstrong and his wife, Chelsea, of Tolland, Conn., Lance Carlo of EI Dorado Hills, Calif., and Ashley Flores and her husband, Jose, of Pittsfield; two great-grandchildren, Samuel, and Anastacia Flores of Pittsfield. She also leaves her sister, Ann Benoit of Irvine, Calif.; two nieces and one nephew and other family. She is predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Pagery; and a brother, Robert Danis. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will held on Friday March 27, at 6 p.m. at Reigning Love Church, 235 East Street Pittsfield, MA 01201. Calling hours will be at the church preceding the memorial service from 4 - 6 p.m. The DERY FUNERAL HOME is handling arrangements.
