Carole L. Stohl

1939--2014 SAVOY Mrs. Carole L. (Wovrick) Stohl, 75, of 600 Main St., Dalton, a former longtime resident of Savoy, died Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Port Chester, N.Y. on January 29, 1939, the daughter of Edward and Wilma (Dudas) Wovrick. She attended schools in New York and Connecticut, and graduated from Stamford (CT) High School. She moved to Savoy in 1971. Mrs. Stohl was primarily a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Reigning Love Church in Pittsfield, and was a member of the Berkshire Gas and Steam Engine Association. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her husband, Charles L. Stohl, died on January 28, 1992. She is survived by two sons, John P. Thayer and his wife, Melinda, of Stephentown, N.Y., and William E. Thayer and his wife, Tammy, of North Adams; two daughters, Carolanne Gatti and her husband, Paul, of Smyrna, Tenn. and Kristina L. Bordeau and her husband, John, of Adams; a stepson, Charles L. Stohl, Jr. of Leander, Texas; a stepdaughter, Yvette Carpenter of Bastrop, Texas; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Rev. Philip Thurmond, Pastor of Reigning Love Church, Pittsfield, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
