MUSKEGO, WI Catherine Mary Pappas LaBombard, 87, of Muskego, and formerly of Stamford, VT, died Saturday March 3, 2012, at Waukesha Springs Rehab and Nursing Home in Waukesha. She was born in North Adams, MA on June 8, 1924, daughter of Dominic and Maria (Canale) Pappas. She attended North Adams schools including Drury High School. Catherine had been a member of the Fall Foliage Queens Court. Catherine worked for many years at the Price Chopper Supermarket in North Adams. Before that, she worked at Sprague Electric. She was a devoted homemaker to her family. She was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church in Stamford and a member of its St. Ann Society. She was a member of the Berkshire County Line Dancers. Catherine enjoyed knitting, singing, and dancing. She was the widow of Eldridge T. LaBombard who died on Oct. 13, 1991. They were married on Nov. 9, 1946. Survivors include two daughters, Sheridan Anne Bernasconi of North Adams, MA and Carla Funk of MuskegoI; three grandchildren, Keith Bernasconi, Bryan Bernasconi, and Kaila Funk; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Dominick Papas of Adams, MA; one sister, Mary Valenti of Pittsfield; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters, Theresa Sukel, Frances O'Brien, Genevieve Champagne, Rose Morocco, Josephine Jacquot, James Pappas, and Joseph Pappas. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Catherine LaBombard will be Friday, March 9, 2012, at 9:30 AM from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in Millard Cemetery in Stamford, VT. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 4-7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Waukesha Humane Society, 701 Northview Rd. Waukesha, WI 53188; St. Ann's Society of St. John Bosco Church, c/o Emma Jobin Old Main Rd. Stamford, VT 05352; or Friendship Center Food Pantry, 43 Eagle St. North Adams.
