1924- 2015 WILLIAMSTOWN Catherine (Timmins) Strype 91, of the Vermont Veterans' Home in Bennington and formerly of Williamstown died Saturday December 19, 2015. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 29, 1924 a daughter of the late William and Catherine (McQuenney) Timmins. Catherine graduated from St. Joseph High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1943. She was employed at her father's company Timmins Cooperage in New York City. She was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. While a resident of New York she was a communicant of St. Charles in Staten Island, NY where she was a member of the Ladies Society. Catherine was a member of the Staten Island Historical Society. While a resident of Williamstown she was a communicant of St's Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Her husband William "Reggie" Strype whom she married in June 9, 1951 died September 23, 2012. Survivors include her daughter. Maureen Strype and her husband. Sam Crane of Williamstown. One granddaughter. Margaret "Maggie" Crane of Williamstown and a sister. Marilyn Hoferichter of Lake Purdy, NY. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Strype Cortes in 1981, grandson, Aidan Crane in 2006 and a siste,r Dorothy Buhl. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday December 23, 2015 at 11am St's Patrick & Raphael Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Wednesday from 9 to 10:30am.
