1941-2014 LANESBOROUGH Mrs. Cecelia Galvagni Williams, age 72, passed peacefully at home early Saturday morning, after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary disease. She was born in Pittsfield, Dec. 20, 1941, the daughter of Rose Antonangeli Galvagni and the late John Galvagni. She was educated in the local schools and was a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School. A bookkeeper by profession she retired in 1997. Cecelia lived for her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved reading, puzzles, her garden and time spent with family, especially the tradition of Sunday dinners at Rosie's. She and her husband, James A. Williams, would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this April 15. In addition to her husband and her mother, Rose, she is survived by her three daughters and their husbands. Tracey and Scott Camilleri of Clinton, Mass., Kimberly and Kevin Murphy of Waxhaw, N.C., and Jennifer and Dan Supranowicz of Pittsfield; her brother, John Galvagni, of Pittsfield; her two sisters, Sandra Doughty of Dalton and JoAnn Murray of Pittsfield. She was the "Very Proud Gramma" of Jillian, Taylor, Ryan, Layne, Allison, Clare, Sadie, Grace and Cecelia. FUNERAL NOTICE: In accordance with Cecelia's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 26 in the Pittsfield Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The Williams family invites those friends who are planning on attending to gather inside the gate at the cemetery at 2:15. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in Cecelia's honor to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Avenue Pittsfield, MA 01201.
