Cecile Mary Blay Wojnicki 1929-2012 NORTH ADAMS Cecile Mary Blay Wojnicki, 82 of 86 Lincoln St. Riverview Apts., North Adams, died Monday January 30, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Valida at 109 Vista St. Pittsfield. She was born in North Adams, on May 12, 1929, daughter of Godfrey and Valeda (Desormeaux) Blay. She attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School. Cecile worked at the former Clark Biscuit Co., and also at the former Pfister Aluminum Co. and Sprague Electric. She was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Cecile was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a member of its Rosary Society. She was the widow of Edward F. Wojnicki who died on June 1, 1984. They were married on May 28, 1950. Survivors include one daughter; Valida A. Wojnicki of Pittsfield. Two sons- Robert E. Wojnicki of North Adams and Frank S. Wojnicki of Pittsfield. Five Grandchildren; Amanda Wojnicki, Jeffrey Wojnicki, Christopher Wojnicki, Kyle Wojnicki, Patrick Wojnicki. One sister- Rosemary Marony of North Adams. Three brothers; Joseph Blay of Adams; Arthur Blay of North Adams, and Frank Blay of Granville, N.Y. She also leaves nieces and nephews. A son, Edward Wojnicki died at birth and one sister and one brother are deceased including Valida Frank and William Blay. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Cecile Wojnicki will be Saturday February 4, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in care of the funeral home.
