Born in Bennington on February 19, 1927, Celine was the first born child of the late Aime A. LaCroix and Alexina (Dupont) LaCroix. She received her early education at L'Ecole du Sacre Coeur and was a 1945 graduate of Bennington High School. Celine also graduated from St. Joseph's Business School in Bennington and continued her education at both Southern Vermont College and the Southwestern Vermont Career Development Center. Celine was first employed as executive secretary at BenMont Paper Company and later in the administrative office at Berkshire Medical Center. Having first met as students at St. Joseph's Business College, Celine and Henry were married at Sacred Heart Church in October, 1952. One of Celine's bridal attendants and life-long friend is Barbara (Rice) Hogan of Bennington. Very active in the community for many years, Celine volunteered at the American Red Cross, Bennington Museum and for many parish events. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and prayer groups at the church. Celine enjoyed her extensive collection of dolls and figurines. The family acknowledges the generous support of the staff at Bennington Health & Rehabilitation, At Home Senior Services, Rose Lane at Fillmore Pond and Celine's guardian, Douglas Krause. Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Germaine Marie and Linwood Rhodes and Martha L. Dailey and her husband John Buoni, all of Williamstown; a brother, Raymond J. LaCroix of Sarasota, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa LaCroix Teele and Marie LaCroix Thomas.
