Charlotte K. Bianchi

1922 - 2012 SHARON, CT Charlotte Kasper Bianchi, aged 89, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Sharon Hospital, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Bianchi was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gerard Kasper. She was a longtime resident of North Canaan, CT. moving to Salisbury in 1992, where she lived until her death.

Mrs. Bianchi served in the Army in the U.S. Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was an avid golfer, bridge and scrabble player. Charlotte volunteered for many years at the Sharon Hospital in various capacities, and Fishes and Loaves in Lakeville.

She was predeceased by her husband, attorney John F. Bianchi, as well as her sister, Margaret Baker of Portland, Ore.

In addition to her daughter, Susan Bianchi of Tampa, Fla., she is survived by her twin sister Lucille Sovinsky of Portland Ore. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be no calling hours, simply a celebration of life on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the home of Laurie and Rick Mccue in Sharon, CT. Directions going west are via Route 41/Gay Street, 2.8 miles on right from Hotchkiss Corners, and going east from Sharon center via 41/Gay Street, 2.1 miles on left. Look for Bianchi/Mccue sign on pole, or call 860-364-0482 for directions.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA or Hospice.
