1969 - 2015 DALTON Mrs. Cindy Bowlby, 46, of Main St., passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015. Cindy passed away after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Albany, NY on January 8, 1969 the daughter of John and Sandra Silvernail Coonrad. Cindy grew up in Ghent, NY and graduated from Chatham High School in Chatham, NY. She later earned her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Albany. Cindy moved to Pittsfield in 1991 to work for the Key Program and later worked for the Department of Social Services. Most recently she had worked as a Teacher's Aide at Nessacus Regional Middle School in Dalton. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family and was also very involved with the Down Syndrome Family Group in Dalton. She had just recently participated in the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome. Besides her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Paul Bowlby, whom she married in St. Teresa's Church on October 3, 1998. She also leaves her two children, Christopher and Hannah; a sister, Lisa and her partner, Melissa; a brother, Dana Coonrad and his wife, Susan; her maternal grandmother, Ingra Silvernail; her in-laws, Roger and Catherine Bowlby; sisters-in-law, Diane Mackey and her husband, Larry and Elaine Bowlby; brothers-in-law, Roger Bowlby Jr., Peter Bowlby and his wife, Valerie and Carl Bowlby and several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Cindy Bowlby will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 9a.m. from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 4 to 7p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Hannah Bowlby Scholarship fund or to Berkshire County ARC care of the Dwyer Funeral Home in her memory.
