Constance "Connie" E. Taylor Granger

1947 - 2012 WORTHINGTON Constance "Connie" E. (Taylor) Granger, 65, a retired school bus driver, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side.

Born on January 16, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Richard F. Taylor and Grace B. (Gurney) Taylor. She lived in Worthington for the past 48 years. She attended Cummington Schools, Williamsburg High School and Wahconah Regional. She was a bus driver for Liebenows Transportation and Healy Transportation. She enjoyed her flower garden, trips to Maine, decorating her home and holidays. She belonged to the Worthington Fire Dept. Auxiliary and volunteered at RH Conwell School.

Connie leaves her beloved husband of 48 years, Gary Granger; two sons, Richard Granger and his wife Carol of Worthington and Chad Granger of Pittsfield; a brother, John R. Taylor of Cummington; a sister, Joan Strong and her husband Ernest of Cummington; six grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, Cameren and their mother Tracy all of Cummington, Kevin, Krishauna, and Erick Kelly. She leaves her nieces, Sharon Cunningham, Jessica Taylor, Krista Brouillard and Katherine Taylor and nephews, Ryan Strong, Stuart Caputo, Gaylon Caputo and Dean Caputo. Her sister-in-law, Ellen Caputo and her husband Michael. Connie was the caregiver to her son, Chad for 27 years.

A special thank you and love to Betty Parish who was with her every step of the way.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Worthington Congregational Church on Rt. 112 in Worthington. A reception will follow at her son Richard's house in Worthington.

O'Brien Hilltown Community Funeral Home in Huntington is in charge of the arrangements.
