Constance A. Sweet

1946 - 2014 WILLIAMSTOWN Constance A. Sweet, our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on Dec., 26. Connie was born on Feb. 14, 1946 in Ludlow, Mass. to the late Frank and Jane (Zaranek) Meloveck. She spent her childhood in Stockbridge. She was employed by the Marion Fathers in Stockbridge; Green Mountain Race Track in Pownal, Vt.; Williams College Food Services, Williamstown, from where she retired in 2008. Connie married the love of her life Norman Sweet Jr. on Nov. 1, 1974. Together they shared 40 years of love and happiness. Connie had a selfless love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed playing the organ and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching sports with her husband Norm, and spending the day at OTB. She always rooted for the Mount Greylock High School baseball team and the NY Yankees. Her favorite player was Derek Jeter. Connie's love for animals brought a special bond between her and her cat Sebastian Sweet (Sy). Connie is survived by her husband, Norman E. Sweet Jr; her son, Norman E. Sweet III, and his wife, Michele Sweet; step sons, William Sweet, Michael Sweet and Jonathon Sweet; grandchildren, Lydia Eisenbrandt, Kamryn Sweet, Addyson Sweet; uncle, Henry Meloveck. She leaves behind many close family and friends and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Meloveck. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will be held at a later date for family and friends. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Berkshire Humane Society through the FLYNN DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. Norh Adams, Mass.
