Coralie Ann Dewey

1955-2014 PITTSFIELD Coralie Ann Dewey, age 58, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Hillcrest Commons. Born in 1955 in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Kathleen E. (Burns) Mattia; she was a 1973 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Coralie worked for many years as a counselor at the Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth in Canaan, New York, before retiring in 2011 due to ill health. Coralie was dedicated and hardworking and enjoyed spending her spare time playing BINGO and with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son William A. Dewey, of Pittsfield, a daughter Holly Ann Dewey of Pittsfield and her sister-in-law Shari Mattia also of Pittsfield. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Makennah Kay Ryan, Alexis McLaughlin and Matthew Mead all of Pittsfield. She was also predeceased by a brother James Mattia. FUNERAL NOTICE: Dewey, Coralie, A., age 58, of Pittsfield, died January 22. A Funeral Home Service Celebrating her life will take place Tuesday January 28, beginning at 1:30 PM at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph's Church officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of Flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Coralie's memory to the in care of the Funeral Home. Please visit to leave messages of condolence for the family.
