David E. Adornetto

1965-2012 Mr. David E. Adornetto, 47, of 48 South Onota St., died Tuesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness.

Born in Pittsfield on July 6, 1965 the son of Carmen Adornetto and the late Madlyn McDonough Adornetto, he attended Taconic High School. Mr. Adornetto had formerly worked in the mailroom at the Berkshire Eagle.

He was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 68 in Pittsfield.

David enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to family gatherings and holidays.

He was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan. David also collected Star Trek memorabilia and had a pewter collection.

Besides his father of Pittsfield, he leaves his sister, Christine Adornetto of Pittsfield; a niece, Shannon Vrooman and her husband David; a nephew, Richard Barriere; grandnephew, Kristopher Adornetto; grandniece, Kailey Vrooman and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He also leaves another sister Diane Moody. Mr. Adornetto was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Adornetto.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. David Adornetto will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 9:30 from the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Church, celebrated by the Rev. John Salatino, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Saturday morning, September 1, 2012 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark Church memorial fund, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory.
