David Sacchetti Obituary
David Francis Sacchetti

David Francis Sacchetti, 66, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on, Tuesday, September 17 at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Tucson, AZ. Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Francis Sacchetti and Doris "Davie" Papa-Sacchetti, he lived most of his life in Pittsfield and moved to Tucson in 1998 to enjoy the warm, dry climate. David, affectionately called Gomez by many, retired in March of this year as a hard-working pressman at Cirrus Visual Communication by day and part-time bartender by night at the Tucson Country Club. He had recently purchased a Gold-Wing motorcycle after the passing of his second wife, Michele Graves-Sacchetti in March, and was able to make one long journey from Tucson to the Seattle, WA area to visit his brother John before his untimely passing. Many from the Berkshires will remember him as the bartender at the former Rainbow Restaurant, which was founded in 1925 by his great- grandparents, Anthony Sacchetti and Amelia "Molly" Tacovelli-Sacchetti and passed down through generations with many delicious Italian recipes. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and was a long-time fan of the New York Giants, in spite of their track record. David was kind and compassionate, with a great, hearty laugh and extremely proud of his daughter, Tricia Sacchetti of Reston, Virginia, and son, Aron Sacchetti of Watervliet, New York and their mother, Christine Glazar of Maryville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his sister Sheila Sacchetti-Bramande of Bradenton Beach, Florida; brothers John Sacchetti, of Seattle, Washington; Thomas Swirsky-Sacchetti of Philadephia, Pennsylvania; grandson Adam Sacchetti of Richmond, Massachusetts, as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. FUNERAL NOTICE: A service in memory of David will be held at the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home, 40 Maplewood Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday, October 12TH starting at 10:00am followed immediately by burial with his parents at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Italian-American Club, 203 Newell Street, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made in David's name to: Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) at http://www.cureepilepsy.org/
