Pittsfield - Deborah Rose Arace-Herrick, 42, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, November 4, 2016. Deborah was born on July 30, 1974, in Pittsfield. She was raised in Pittsfield and attended Pittsfield Public Schools. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from MCLA in North Adams. She married her husband, Roy A. Herrick, on July 16, 2005.Deborah worked for many years in the field of social work, including as Director of Social Work at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, and most recently as a licensed social worker at Berkshire Place in Pittsfield.Deborah enjoyed camping with family, friends and her dogs. She blessed those around her in so many ways, including with her wonderful culinary creations. Deborah will be remembered as a loving, caring person, and dedicated mother, wife, daughter and sister, who held a deep faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.Deborah is survived by her beloved son, Ottovio "Tavie"; her husband, Roy; her parents, Andrew and Julia Arace, of Pittsfield; her brother, Paul Arace, of Pittsfield; her sister, Michelle Arace, of Hartford, Connecticut; her beautiful dogs; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Deborah Rose Arace-Herrick who died November 4, 2016 will be Thursday November 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Christian Assembly Church, 850 Williams Street, Pittsfield, MA, celebrated by Pastor David Mazzella. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Christian Broadcasting Network, Inc.in care of the funeral home.
