Debra Lee Bernier 1956-2012 DALTON Debra Lee Bernier, 55, of 31 Weston Avenue, Dalton, died Friday, April 20, 2012, at her home. Born in North Adams on August 1, 1956, a daughter of Walter and Isabelle Parker Andrzejewski, she was a graduate of North Adams schools. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Bernier had been employed by the Central Berkshire Regional School District as a bus driver. She had also been employed for ten years with Crane & Company, Inc. at its Wahconah Mill and at Berkshire Hematology & Oncology, most recently she had been the Sexton at Christian Assembly Church. Mrs. Bernier was a longtime member of Christian Assembly Church and in earlier years was active in the choir. She was an enthusiastic motor cyclist and enjoyed riding her motorcycle to New Hampshire, Lake George, and Maine with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She leaves her husband, Keith W. Bernier, whom she married September 28,1974. Besides her husband, and her parents of North Adams, Mrs. Bernier is survived by two sons, Jason M. Bernier and his wife, Clara, of Dalton, and Jeremie A. Bernier and his fiancee, Lisa, of Lanesborough; two brothers, Raymond Green, Jr., of Williamstown, and Walter Andrzejewski, Jr., and his wife, Kathy, of Adams; two sisters, Donna Donnelly of North Adams, and Diane Labombard and her husband, Don, of North Adams; five grandchildren, Abriana, Codi, Dominique, Jolee, and Nakita; as well as her longtime friend and caregiver, Maryann Herrick of Dalton. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Debra Lee Bernier will be held Tuesday, April 24, at 11 a.m., at Christian Assembly Church with Pastor David McIntosh officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Village Cemetery in West Stockbridge. Calling hours will be Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Bernier may be made to Christian Assembly Food Pantry or to HospiceCare in The Berkshires both in care of the Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
