NEW MARLBOROUGH Dennis C Marcus, MD - Adult and Child Psychiatrist, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Marcus of New Marlborough, and three sons; Gustin Marcus of Los Angeles, Calif., Jesse Marcus of Washington DC, and Colin Marcus of Cambridge, MA, and his mother, Sylvia Marcus of Lenox. In accordance with his wishes there will be no services. Those who wish to do so may make donations in his memory to Fairview Hospital through FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Remembrances for his family may be sent through www.finnertyandstevens.com

I was so sad to hear the news about Denny. He was a great man: smart, kind, great sense of humour, business savvy; he was totally unique. He was my client. And my father's partner for years. I will always appreciate all he did for us. And will never forget all the people he helped in his professional career and through South County Psych.

Leslie, it was so shocking to learn about Dennis. We have so many funny and warm memories of hanging out with both of you all those times years and years ago. Wish we could have kept up. Dennis was a really amazing guy. Love to you and all the kids.
