Dennis Patrick Pause 1961-2011 Dennis Patrick Pause, 50, of Easthampton died suddently Saturday in Boston at Fenway Park taking photos of the University of Massachusetts hockey team, which was a lifelong passion. He was born in Adams, May 11, 1961, the son of Joan (Straczek) Pause and the late Robert Pause. He attended Hoosac Valley High School, from which he graduated in 1979. He attended Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., which he graduated frorm their Physicians Assistant program. Dennis did his residency as a Pa., at the St.Vincent's Medical Center on Staten Island, N.Y. He was employed as a Senior Physicians Assistant at Mercy Medical Center of Springfield, and prior to that had been associated with Dr. Savvas Papazoglou of Springfield and the Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton. He was also an Adjunct Professor with the Pa., program at Springfield College and was a member of the National Association of Physicians Assistants. He had a passion for photography, like his father, specializing in hockey. His photos were well known by those who followed and played the sport. He followed the University of Massachusetts sports events and was very proud of all the accomplishments of his sons, whether it was sports or music. Dennis is survived by his wife Alice (Monck) Pause, two sons, Kristopher Pause, an Easthampton High School student, and Robert Pause, a UMass Amherst student, his three brothers, David of Adams, Daniel of Wilder, Vermont, and Stephen Pause of Cleveland, Ohio, along with many friends and relatives. FUNERAL NOTICE: Visiting time will be Friday, Jan. 13th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Dennis' memory to the Easthampton High School Hockey team.
