1991-2015 ADAMS Mr. Derek H. Windover, 23, of Adams, died Friday evening, October 2, 2015, at his home. He was born in Troy, NY on November 3, 1991, the son of Dawn (Mullaney) Windover. He attended schools in Frederick, MD, and graduated from Frederick High School, where he was a member of the Soccer Team, the Theater Club, the National Honor Society and the Frederick Soccer Club. He found great joy in tutoring students in Math through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program during his junior and senior years of high school. He had also attended Salisbury University. He was also a coach for 2 seasons with the Adams-Cheshire Youth Soccer Program. Since moving to this area several years ago, Derek had been working at Berkshire/Guardian Life Insurance Co. in Pittsfield. He is survived by his mother, Dawn (Mullaney) Windover and her companion, Brian Barnes, of Cheshire; a brother, Tyler Windover of Frederick, Maryland; his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Carol Mullaney of Frederick, Maryland; his paternal grandparents, Douglas and Christine Windover of Albany, NY; his maternal great grandmother, Grace Mullaney of California; his "bonus siblings", Emma and Michael Barnes of Cheshire; an aunt, Michelle Bielinski of Getzville, NY; an uncle, Michael Mullaney of Thurmont, Maryland; as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins, including his godson, Carson; and his girlfriend, Michelle Lewis of Adams. He was predeceased by an uncle, Thomas Mullaney, Jr. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th, at 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Friday from 4 to 7 PM.
