Donna Savage Disch

SCHENECTADY Donna Savage Disch, 77, of North College Street died Sunday, August 19,2012 at the Capstone Center in Amsterdam. Donna was born in Syracuse to the late Donald and Cora Maurer Savage, moving to Schenectady in 1941. She was a 1952 graduate Nott Terrace High School and a graduate of Vermont Junior College in Montpelier.

Donna worked as a secretary at St. Clare's Hospital, until retiring. Donna lived in Florida and for many years in Pittsfield, before returning to Schenectady in 1981. Donna was an avid tennis player and was active in local tennis clubs in Florida and Pittsfield.

She loved to ski and worked at Brodie Mountain. She was a member of the Schenectady Curling Club. Donna was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady.

She is survived by three children, Cheryl Campoli of Pittsfield, Scott (Vera) Disch of Renton, Wash., and Brad (Diana) Disch of Ormond Beach, Fla., one brother, "Butch" (Jayne) Savage of Schenectady, four grandchildren, Leila Campoli, Sam Campoli, Andrew Campoli all of Pittsfield and Courtney Disch of Ormond Beach. two nephews, Donald Savage and Michael Savage, one niece, Jodi Barber and several great nieces and great nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will begin Friday morning at 10:15 at the Gleason funeral Home, 730 Union Street and at 11 at St. John the Evangelist church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
