Doris Paolucci 1933 - 2012 LENOX Doris F. Paolucci, 78, for much of her life a resident of Needham, died Sunday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Newton March 18, 1933, daughter of Wilbroad and Doris Perry Duhaime, she was a 1949 graduate of Needham High School and earned her BA degree in English from Northeastern University in 1955. Next to her family, Mrs. Paolucci's main passion in life was in education and she pursued that as a High School teacher in Warren, MA for many years. A licensed real estate broker, she owned and operated Arrow Real Estate in Dedham, retiring several years ago. She was an avid tennis player and had been a member of the Needham Pool and Racquet Club. She also loved spending time at the ocean and knitting. Mrs. Paolucci and her husband of over 54 years, Carl J. Paolucci, Jr., had made their home in Lenox for the past 15 years. They were married in Needham June 28, 1958. Besides her husband of Lenox she is survived by her four children, Robin Paolucci of Lynnfield, Carl J. Paolucci III and wife Martha of Canaan, NY, Amy A. Ruggiero and her husband James of Billerica, and Todd W. Paolucci of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicole, Sarah, Douglas, and Steven Ullian, and Elizabeth, Martha, and Caroline Paolucci; and sisters, Lorraine Abruzzi of Framingham and Iris Nasson of Walpole. She was predeceased by her sister June Perry, and brother George Duhaime. Doris's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Lenox Fire Department and the Lenox Police Department. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral of Mrs. Doris F. Paolucci of Lenox who died January 15, 2011, will be Wednesday, January 18th at 1PM at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor of St. Ann's Church in Lenox celebrating the Rite of Christian Burial. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Paolucci's memory may be made to the in care of the funeral home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
