Doris Coles Pincus

1926-2014 Doris Coles Pincus, 87 of Brewster, Cape Cod passed away peacefully, January 23, 2014, surrounded by friends and family. Doris was born June 21, 1926 in New Marlborough, Ma, was beloved daughter of Raymond and Cecile Huggins. Doris attended New Marlborough High School and later married Joseph Coles from Lee. Together they started the Individual Laundry which later moved to School Street in Great Barrington where they serviced Fairview Hospital for many years. She is predeceased by Joseph Coles, her second husband, Leonard Pincus, sisters Shirley Hatch and Madeline Coles. She has spent the past ten years on Cape Cod living with her daughter and son in-law, helping them with their two bed and breakfasts. Above all, Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother and friend to many. She was an avid gardener and knitter and many admired the thousands of daffodils that would bloom in front of her home in South Egremont every spring. She is survived by her sister Carrie Berry of Lenox, Daughter, Donna Cain of Brewster and her husband, Byron, granddaughter, Jennifer Frizzell and husband Darin of Dallas, granddaughter April and husband Matthew of Dedham and grandson, Nathan of Brewster. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Doris Coles Pincus who died January 23, will be held on Monday January 27, at 10:00AM with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Peter's Church with the Reverend William P. Murphy pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday January 27, from 8:30-9:30 AM at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Doris' memory may be made to the VNA of Cape Cod in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME at 33 South Street Great Barrington, MA.
