1925 - 2013 NORTH ADAMS Dorothy Hazel (Martinelli) Farinon, 87, of 85 Eagle Street, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in North Adams on April 10, 1925,
a daughter of Giovanni and Olga (Cellana) Martinelli. She attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School.
She was employed by Sprague Electric Co. for 43 years until her retirement in 1986.
Dorothy was a communicant of St Francis of Assisi Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society and was a longtime member of Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Margaret #296 and was also a member of the Sons of Italy in North Adams
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Farinon, whom she married April 27, 1946, in St. Francis Church.
She is also survived by her daughter, Cynthia Horrigan and her husband, John of Dalton; two grandchildren, Tracy Miller and her husband, Andrew of Barnstable, and Brad Horrigan of New York City; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Kiara Miller of Barnstable; two sisters, Catherine Talarico of North Adams and Sandra Reissour of Springfield, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister who died in infancy.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Dorothy Farinon will be Monday, April 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
