Douglas A. Curry

1941-2013 PITTSFIELD Douglas Alfred Curry, 61, of 17 Boylston Street, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 7, 1951, a son of the late Richard and Patricia Ploss Curry Hogue, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.

Mr. Curry had been a machinist at Lee Tool.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Curry is survived by two sons, Scott Curry and his wife, Trina, of Ludlow, and Shawn M. Curry of North Adams; a daughter, Desirae Palmer of Ashfield; two sisters, Heidi M. Hogue and her fiance, Jim McCarthy, of Pittsfield, and Michelle Curry-Black and her husband, Joel, of Holly Springs, N.C.; three brothers, Drew Curry and his wife, Stephanie, of Windsor, Dan Curry of Norfolk, and Joseph Hogue of Pittsfield; five grandchildren, Amber and Brandon Curry, and Zachary, Abbygale, and Elizabeth Curry. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his close friend and caregiver, Laurel Bush.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Richard Curry who died in 2007 and a nephew, Daniel Curry, Jr., who died in 2007.
