Edith M. Langevin

1918-2012 NORTH ADAMS Edith M. (Walden) Langevin, 94, of 1 Nelson St. died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in North Adams on May 5, 1918 a daughter of the late Martin and Albina (Bissaillon) Walden. She attended schools in North Adams. Edith was employed at the Sprague Electric Co in North Adams and then was employed at North Adams Regional Hospital as a pharmacy assistant for many years.

She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a former member of the North Adams Moose Lodge and the North Adams Eagles Club.

Edith's first husband, William E. Hartman, of Middletown, Conn. died May 10, 1983. Her second husband, Edward Langevin, died March 27, 2000.

Edith leaves four sons, William N. Hartman and Richard Langevin both of Williamstown, Daniel A. Hartman of Dallas, Texas and Keith N. Hartman of North Adams; and one daughter, Eileen H. Brassard. Edith also leaves 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Martin and Arthur Walden; three sisters, Marion LaBombard, Lillian LaVariere and Jessie Burtt; and three grandchildren, Cathy Hartman, Eric Hartman and James Larabee.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside Services will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, Ma. There are no calling hours.
