Edith Parker
1935 - 2015 ADAMS Edith A Parker, 80, of 17 Friend St., died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at her home. Born in Adams on March 16, 1935, daughter of the late Edward R. and Edith Kittler Gamache she attended Adams school and graduated from the former Adams High School. Edith was employed for many years for the Cord Master Engineering Co. in North Adams, and where she retired. Prior to that she was employed with the ALADCO Co. in Adams. After her retirement she also became employed for the Goodwill Store in Adams. She was a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams. Edith was an avid Elvis Presley, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Parker, whom she married on September 4, 1968. A son, Stanley F. Parker and his wife, Terry, a daughter, Julie Bryan, all of Adams. Four grandchildren, Joseph J. White, John D. White, Jennifer L. White, Abriana Parker, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward R. Gamache Jr., Donald Gamache, a sister, Carol J. Macksey. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Edith will take place Monday, June 29, 2015 at 6 p.m. from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, with the Rev Steven G. Montesanti, Pastor of the Parish of St. John Paul II officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Donations in her memory can be made to the Abriana Parker Educational Trust Fund in care of the funeral home.

So sad to learn of Edith's passing. We were in the St. Thomas Girl Scout troop together so many years ago. She was fun to be with. I also learned that our fathers were first cousins. Small world! My best wishes to her family.
