Edmond Andre Perras

1939 - 2013 NORTH ADAMS Edmond Andre "Bunny" Perras, 74, of 136 Walker St., passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving girls.

He was born in North Adams on Feb. 21, 1939, a son of Albert and Rose (LaBonte) Perras. He attended the Holy Family School in North Adams.

Edmond was a dedicated member of the Provisional Patrolman for the City of North Adams. He worked for Arnold Print Works, and, for the past 20 years, was employed at Steinerfilm.

He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He loved bass fishing. He also enjoyed hunting and camping with his friends.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. His five girls were the center and focus of his life.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jane (Petrovice) Perras whom he married Sept. 2, 1961 in St. Francis Church; four daughters, Karen Iriass and her husband, Jose, of North Adams; Connie Therrien and her husband, Ed, of North Adams; Kelly DiSanto and her husband, John of Valencia, Calif.; and Chrissy Perras and her love, Dan Dobbert II, of North Adams; five grandchildren, Jeremy Perras, Jessie Fisher, Eddie Therrien Jr., Samantha Perras DiSanto, and Kendalle Perras Felter. He also leaves three sisters, Beatrice Fortini, Leona Randall, and Barbara Perras, all of North Adams, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his three brothers, Raymond Perras, who was his twin, David Perras, and Milton Perras; and by two sisters, Shirley Sumner and Dorothy Reed.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Edmond "Bunny" Perras will be celebrated Saturday at 8:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, will be today, Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Boston Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
