Edna Ann Lewis Cardimino 1923-2012 NORTH ADAMS Mrs. Edna Ann Lewis Cardimino, 88 of 481 East Main St. North Adams, died Saturday February 25, 2012 at Sweetbrook Care Center. She was born in Stamford, Vt., on July 22, 1923, daughter of Murray and Kathleen (Russell) Lewis. She attended Stamford schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1941. Edna was employed by Sprague Electric Co. for over 25 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Edna was a member of the DAV Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pownal, VT VFW. She enjoyed gardening and working around her home. She was the widow of Peter C. Cardimino who died on January 7, 1998. They were married on August 9, 1947. Survivors include one daughter- Linda Cardimino, and her companion, Sam Woodcock of Pownal, Vt. One son; David A. Cardimino, and his wife, Nancy of North Adams. Two grandchildren- Peter Cardimino II and David A. Cardimino Jr. Four Great Grandchildren; Meghan, Christopher, Juan, and Emily. Three Great Great Grandchildren; Aleeyah, Joselyn, and Maiya. She also leaves two sisters- Alice Laperriere of Granger, IN and Kathleen Eastman of Bennington, Vt. One brother- Murray Lewis of Pownal, Vt., Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces, and Grandnephews A brother; Melvin Lewis died in infancy. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Edna Cardimino will be celebrated Tuesday February 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams are Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Peter Cardimino II, David Cardimino Jr., Christopher Cardimino, Sam Woodcock, and Tracy Eastman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Lewis, Michael Lewis, Peter Cardimino, Joey Trembley, and Murray Lewis.
