Edward C. Conley

1933-2013 PITTSFIELD Mr. Edward C. Conley, 79 of 1000 North St. died Tuesday afternoon February 26 at The Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on June 23, 1933 he was the son of the late Edward C. and Nellie Bator Conley Kozak. Mr. Conley was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield and a 1951 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

He was employed at one time as a postal clerk for the Pittsfield Post Office.

He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was a communicant of St. Josephs Church.

Ed enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables and was well known for his cross breeding of gladiolis. He achieved many different and brilliant colors with his technique.

He leaves several cousins and his best friend for over sixty years, Roger Dean of Hancock.

Eds family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the exceptional care Ed received at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility. The nursing staff was extremely professional and caring.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Mr. Edward C. Conley died Tuesday February 26. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Josephs Church with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated by Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.

There are no calling hours at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME.
