Edward S. Davidson

1946 - 2014 GREAT BARRINGTON Edward S. Davidson, 67, of Great Barrington, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in New Milford, Conn. on June 6, 1946, son of Edward and Isabell Bak Davidson. Edward attended Searles Middle School and graduated from Mount Everett High School, class of 1964. Edward owned Barrington Electric where he worked as an electrician until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Mount Everett Council #513, enjoyed working on race cars at Lebanon Valley Speedway, and was an avid hunter. Edward is survived a son, Edward Davidson of Alford; two daughters, Jennifer Murtha and husband, Tyler, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Amy Jaeger of Las Vegas, Nev.; three brothers, William Davidson of New Hampshire, Robert Davidson of New York, and Alan Davidson of Conn.; two sisters, Diane Zamberletti of Florida and Barbara Davidson of Sheffield; seven grandchildren, Joseph Decker, Andrew Decker, Brandon Decker and his wife, Gwendolyn, Myles Brownson, Kyle Williamson and his wife, Amber, Aiden Davidson and Addison Jaeger; three great-grandchildren, Mekhi Brownson, Audreyanna Decker, and Aava Williamson, several nieces and nephews and his former wife of 17 years, Mary Ann Morelli, whom he married in 1968. Edward was predeceased by his son, John Wynn. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Edward S. Davidson, who died Wednesday, April 23, will be held on Monday, April 28 at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Great Barrington, with the Reverend William P. Murphy, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive friends at calling hours Sunday, April 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA. 01230.
