Edward Rossi

1950 - 2014 LEE Edward Anthony Rossi, 64, of Richmond Ave., died Tuesday Aug. 26 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield from complications from non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was born in Pittsfield on July 28, 1950 the son of Anthony and Helen Ricci Rossi. He attended Lenox School for Boys and after graduation ran the family business, Rossi's Restaurant located on Main St. in Lee. This was followed by a career as a golf pro at GEAA Golf Club in Pittsfield alongside his uncle Bill Sarocco, and as a machine operator for Becton Dickinson Company in Canaan, Conn. Edward was coach of the St. Joseph's golf team in Pittsfield for nearly a decade, winning several regional and state championships. He was also an avid ice fisherman, camper, chef, and golfer. Edward will be especially remembered for his huge heart and unwavering loyalty to the New York Giants. He leaves his wife of 24 years, Mary (DeVarennes) Rossi, his son, Matthew R. Cuevas of Las Vegas, Nev. and his daughter, Michelle L. Cuevas of Lee, his mother-in-law Rita DeVarennes and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, loved ones and friends. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. from the KELLY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. John K. Sheaffer, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Kelly Funeral Home will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. Those wishing may make donations to the Berkshire Humane Society in honor of Shamrock and Dusty Rhodes, Edward's furry companions to the Kelly Funeral Home at 3 Main St. Lee, Mass 01238. Acting as pallbearers will be Edward's best friends, Mark Wheeler, David Brighenti, Abe Streeter. Michael DeVarennes, Paul Viale, Richard Parise, David Ricci and Robert Malumphy.
