Edward M. Sargent

1969-2013 DALTON Edward M. Sargent, 44, of 1095 South Street, Dalton, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at his home.

Born in North Adams on January 28, 1969, a son of Florence Sears of New Ashford and the late Charles Comer, he was a 1988 graduate of McCann Technical Vocational School in North Adams.

At the time of his death, Mr. Sargent was manager of Auto Parts International in Pittsfield where he had been employed for the past three years.

For ten years prior to that he had been parts manager at H & S Auto Parts and Service in Pittsfield. He had previously managed Midas Muffler.

Mr. Sargent had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed helping people and being with his family and friends.

He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and he was an avid die cast car and truck collector.

Mr. Sargent leaves his wife, the former Tammy A. Williams, whom he married December 19, 1992.

Besides his wife, Tammy, and his mother, Florence Sears, Mr. Sargent is survived by two daughters, Michelle E. Sargent of Pittsfield and Dana M. Sargent of Dalton; two brothers, Sean Comer and his wife Bonnie of Adams, and Keith Comer and his wife Angela also of Adams; a sister, Coreena Sargent-Corcoran, of Bennington, Vermont; as well as his grandfather, Harold Fonda of Greenfield; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Sandra Williams of Adams, and his mother- and father-in-law, Irene and Wallace Morrison of Peru; and many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Jeffrey Sargent, and by his grandmother, Ruth Sumner.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of Life for Edward M. Sargent will be held at a later date to be announced. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of
