Eleanor Horrigan Vincent

1935 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Eleanor "Ellie" Horrigan Vincent, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 7, 1935, the daughter of Cornelius J. Horrigan and Eleanor R. Kiley Horrigan. She attended Pittsfield schools. She enjoyed her work as an assembler for Sheaffer Eaton, where she worked for the majority of her adult life. She loved spending time and traveling with friends, playing bingo, and was quick with a joke to lighten the mood. She even managed to tell one last joke to her doctors on the day that she died. She is survived by her sister, Janice E. Horrigan of Pittsfield; her three children, Mark Bruno and his wife, Shea, of Westfield, Lisa Bruno Shea of Pittsfield, and Lori Vincent Hadley and her husband, David, of New Ashford; her six grandchildren, Meghan Bruno, Ryan Shea, Michael Bruno, Connor Hadley, Cameron Hadley, and Caroline Hadley, and her four great-grandchildren, Jayden and Tanner Speth and Zachary and Anthony Bruno. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles E. Vincent, on May 13, 1996, and whom she married on April 26, 1969, and her siblings, Thomas J., Rosalie F., Michael T., and David G. Horrigan, and Neal G. Harrigan. She was very proud to be able to donate her body to science. She has left her body to the UMass Medical School, where she hopes that in doing so, she will be able to help a young doctor learn specifics that will help to save someone else's life. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Eleanor "Ellie" Horrigan Vincent will be Friday, March 14, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor.
