Elizabeth Ann Johnson Elizabeth Ann (Mullaney) Johnson died peacefully at home with her husband at her side in East Falmouth, Mass., on Friday morning, May 4th. Family and friends knew her as Betty. She leaves behind her husband Samuel Nash Johnson. They were married 67 years ago on May 5th 1945 at St Ann's Church in Lenox. She also leaves six children: Margaret and her husband Russell Jacobson of Plymouth; Mary and her husband John Weingartner of Marblehead; Thomas of Frankfort, Ky.; Samuel and his wife Kathleen (O'Brien) of Milford; Michael and his wife Fiona (Scott) of Savannah, Ga.; and Joseph and his wife Kristine (Venegoni) of Acworth, Ga. She also leaves behind her beloved sister Joan and her husband F. Owen Eagan of West Hartford, Connecticut. The joy of Betty's life was her 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews living coast to coast and as far as Australia. She always looked forward to the annual family gatherings every summer on the Cape. Betty was an active member of St Anthony's Parish, serving for 25 years as the first woman Eucharistic Minister. She also taught CCD and was a founding member of the Right to Life Movement in Falmouth. FUNERAL NOTICE: Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 7 at Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home at 475 Main St Falmouth. All who knew and loved her are welcome. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 9 a.m. at St Anthony's Church, East Falmouth, Massachusetts. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at St Patrick's Cemetery in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
