1933 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Marshall, 81, of 64 South Onota St., passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Pittsfield on March 6, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Suzanne Micklisin Marshall, she was a 1951 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Marshall was employed as a thread finisher at the former A. H. Rice Silk Mill. Betty lived most of her life in the Morningside community and was a longtime communicant of St. Mary the Morning Star Church until its closing. She was currently a communicant of St. Mark Church. She kept in touch with out of town family members through cards and letters and prayed the Rosary daily for family members and friends. She will be remembered as a fun-loving person who will be missed dearly. She is survived by her son, Stephen Marshall and his wife, Sue, of Lanesborough; a sister, Suzanne Salatino and her husband, John, of Pittsfield; sister-in-law, Marleen Marshall; a niece, Sandra Lewis and her husband, Michael,with whom she made her home and many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by a brother, Robert Marshall. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Elizabeth "Betty" Marshall will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Church, celebrated by her nephew, the Rev. John C. Salatino, pastor. Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery in Dalton.
