1921-2012
NORTH ADAMS - Esther Mary (Bua) Critelli 90, of 19A Veazie St. North Adams formerly of 21 Adams St. North Adams, died Friday April 6, 2012 at the North Adams Regional Hospital.
She was born on in Italy on April 18, 1921 a daughter of the late Salvatore and Elena (Corrente) Bua. She came to the United States at the age of six months and her family settled in North Adams. She attended schools in North Adams.
Esther was first employed at the Clark Biscuit Co. and then at the Sprague Electric Co. She was employed at the Shapiro & Sons Co. in North Adams for 28 years. She also assisted in the operations of the family owned business at the Corner Market. She was last employed at the Freight Yard Pub retiring in 2004. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in North Adams.
Her Husband Albert Critelli whom she married February 3 1939 died November 1, 1992.
Survivors include her son: Ralph A. Critelli of North Adams with whom she made her home. Daughter-in-law: Gail Critelli of North Adams. Four Grandchildren: John, Christine, Scott and Jennifer. Two greatgrandchildren: Joseph and Cara. Three Sisters: Mary Pinkall, Rose Richard and Madeline Andrews all of North Adams. Three Brothers: John Bua of Adams and Carmen "Gus" Bua and Salvatore "Sam" Bua of North Adams. several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son: James Critelli who died July 17, 2004.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, Ma. with Father Christopher Richard, Nephew as the celebrant. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home are Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Memorial Donations are suggested in her memory through the funeral home.
