Esther V. Tanguay

1929 - 2016 ADAMS- Esther V. Tanguay, 86, of 104 North Summer St., passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home. Born in Adams on November 11, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Stephan and Victoria Mastalisz Jasinski. Esther attended Adams schools including St. Stanislaus Kostka School, and was a graduate of the former Adams High School. Her last place of employment was for the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield where she worked for over twenty five years, retiring in 1993. Prior to that she was employed for several years for the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams. Esther enjoyed tag sales and flee markets, and the tv series American Pickers. She loved eating out and drives in the county. Her husband Francis Tanguay, died July 9, 1994. She is survived by a son, Keith Tanguay of Adams, a daughter, Catherine Butler and her husband Arthur of Pittsfield. Two grandchildren, Matthew and Martin Butler and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leopold Jasinski, two sisters, Claire Diesz and Rina Roswell. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Esther will take place Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 9 AM from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220. Followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Steven G. Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams, calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
