Eunice M. St. Hilaire
1927 - 2015 ADAMS Mrs. Eunice Marguerite (LeGrand) St. Hilaire, 88, of 5 West St. Adams, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 18, at Berkshire Medical Center Satellite Facility in North Adams. She was born in Adams on Feb. 7, 1927, a daughter of the late Henry and Ora (Norman) LeGrand. She attended the former Notre Dame Elementary School, Adams, and graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1945. Mrs. St. Hilaire was a homemaker most all of her life, caring for her family. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. She was a former communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, where she was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne. She was also a member of Adams Post 160 American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards, playing the piano, and spending time in prayer. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Clement G. St. Hilaire, whom she married on January 12, 1946; a daughter, Jeanne Marie Cooper and her husband, David, of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Wendy Sikorski of New York City; Amy Baker of Middlefield, Mass., and Seth Cooper of Abington, Mass.; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanne Jangrow of North Adams; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Claudia St. Hilaire, who died on Dec. 31, 1953; and by two brothers, Lawrence and Clarence LeGrand. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 8:45 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire, celebrated by the Rev. David R. Raymond, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
