Mr. F. Robert McClintock, age 73, died Wednesday evening at his home following a long illness. He was born in Pittsfield, MA, the son of the late Fenton and Sarah Bornak McClintock. He attended the local schools and was a 1960 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He attended Springfield College and continued his education in the graduate program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Continuing his education in later years, he obtained his certification from the Robert Morris School of Commercial Lending at the University of Indiana. A banker and financier, he began his career with Union National Bank and then later with Key Bank. Promoted to Executive Vice President and Director, he was employed with Key Capital Corp. and Financial Services in Albany, NY. He then took a position with Empire of America in Buffalo, N.Y., where he served as the administrative vice president and director of strategic business for lending services. From there he moved to Toledo, OH and took a position as Senior Vice President, Sales Finance Group. Moving to Windemere, FL, he was named the Senior Vice President of Sales and Finance at the Society National Bank. Prior to retiring in 2006, he was named Group Vice President and Manager of the Florida Sales Finance Group at Chevy Chase Bank. His responsibilities also included the management of their automobile portfolio for the state of Florida. Bob was full of life with a great sense of humor. He loved golfing, Notre Dame Football, reading, and the buying and selling of cars. Most of all, he enjoyed watching and attending his children's athletic events and then later, his grandchildren's' events. He and his wife, the former Mary Kay Keegan, celebrated their 53 wedding anniversary this past March. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 sons, Michael F. McClintock and his wife, Joanne, of Orchard Park, NY, Brian McClintock and his wife, Lori, of Clifton Park, NY, Robert K. McClintock and his wife, Beth, of Atlanta, GA, his daughter, Kate Newton and her husband, Sean, of Clifton Park, NY, his two brothers, Norman McClintock and Craig McClintock, both of Pittsfield, MA and his seven grandchildren, Tony, Shannon, Abby, Danny, and Jennifer McClintock, Conor, and Matty Newton, his brother-in-law Daniel Keegan and his wife Patricia, of Pittsfield, and his nephews, Shawn, Eric and Ryan Keegan and their families. FUNERAL NOTICE: McClintock, F. Robert, age 73, of Pittsfield, died Jun1st. Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be SUNDAY, June 5th from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:15am from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church with Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either HospiceCare in the Berkshires or to Unity House of Troy, NY, both in care of the funeral home.
