1927 - 2014 DRURY Fay E. (Poirot) Beer, 87, died on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at her home. She was born in Florida, MA on Sept. 9, 1927, a daughter of the late Adrian and Tressie (Burdick) Poirot. She attended schools in Florida, MA and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams. She also attended the former Bliss Business College. Fay served as a Majorette in the Drury Band and the Charlemont High School Band and was a member of the VFW Drum Corp. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Florida. She was employed at the former Gaevert Film Company in Williamstown and most recently at the Eastern Summit Gift Shop. She enjoyed playing the electronic organ, oil painting, knitting cardigan sweaters and baton twirling. Fay and her husband, Robert Harold Beer were married on July 14, 1951 in the Florida Baptist Church. Mr. Beer passed away on Jan. 4, 2012. Survivors include her sister, Helen Sundquist of Maryland and two brothers, Milton and Alan Poirot of Drury, as well as nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Norma Boucher and a brother, Stephen Poirot. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Fay E. Beer will take place in the spring with a graveside service in the Florida Church Cemetery, Florida, MA. FLYNN AND DAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall Street, NORTH ADAMS, MA are in charge of arrangements.
