Florence
(Sherman)
Roth
1932 - 2015 Mrs. Florence (Sherman) Roth, 82, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015. She was born in New York City, N.Y. on July 4, 1932. As a child she sang in the Borscht Belt. She appeared with Molly Picon in the Yiddish Theatre and loved the theatre and music; and she sang all the "oldies" to the very end. She worked in travel and as a credit analyst after earning her M.B.A. at age 52. An independent spirit, Florence was selfless and generous, others always came first. A staunch advocate for all in need, she was frank and honest to the hilt, just like her Mama Dubbeh. She will be forever remembered in boundless love by her husband, Max; her children; Gaye, Michael, Joseph and his wife, Barbara; and granddaughters; Jamie and Rachael. FUNERAL NOTICE: Interment will be private. Minyanim and visitation to be announced. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

There are few opportunities in this world for love and commitment to take on a life of their own. Max and Florence found and nurtured this love. It will live long beyond us all. And I am humbled and inspired by its example. With love to Max for healing and peace.
