Frances Elizabeth Bonyea

1930-2012 PITTSFIELD Frances Elizabeth Bonyea, 82, died suddenly Thursday at Springside Nursing Home surrounded by family.

She was born in Readsboro, Vt. to the late Earl and Elizabeth (Tefft) Hescock. Frances attended North Adams area schools. She worked as a cook for many years for people with special needs in Belchertown.

Frances was a member of and volunteered regularly at the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center in Pittsfield, and was also a longtime member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Frances leaves a devoted daughter, Geraldine Beany of Lanesboro, and a son, Donald Bombardier and his wife, Cathy, of Gardnerville, Nev. Additionally, she is survived by a sister, Lorraine Sawettlle and her husband Ronald, of Dalton; a brother, Richard and his wife, Diane, of Laughlin, Nev. She will be especially missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frances was predeceased by her husband Edward; brothers, Raymond, John, and Earl; and a sister, Louise.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Funeral Service will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Avenue. A calling hour will precede the funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Frances' memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
