Dr. Francis P. Millette 1935-2012 Local Dentist NORTHAMPTON Dr. Francis "Frank" P. Millette, 76, of Ward Avenue practiced dentistry in Northampton for thirty-five years. He died warm and comfortable at home with his whole family on Friday, March 9, 2012. Francis was born in Adams, on November 7, 1935, the only child of Francis J. and Loretta H. Martin Millette. He attended the local "French school" for eight grades and went on to St. Joseph's High School in North Adams. He graduated from Holy Cross College in Worcester in 1958 and went on to Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston graduating in 1962. After two years as a Captain in the US Army in Germany, Frank, his wife and two sons settled in Northampton, Mass., in 1964. He was a member of the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus, was a very active member of the budding conservation movement and at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. He was a longtime member of the Northampton Conversation commission. He was an avid fisherman of every kind, from brook to the ocean. He enjoyed playing tennis and bridge. He is survived by his wife of fifty years; Brenda E. (McNamara) Millette, five sons and their wives; David and Miko Millette of Edmonds, Wash., Christopher Millette and Erica Broman of Longmeadow, Mass., Paul and Nicole Millette of Walpole, Mass., Patrick and Kelli Millette of Mill Valley, Calif., Matthew and Jessica Millette of North Kingstown, R.I. His grandchildren; Christopher Jr., Jacqueline, Graham, Flynn, Molly, Jacob, Allison, Robert, Tomoe, Akira, Jack and Claire. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours at the Czelusniak Funeral Home are on Tuesday March 13, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning from the Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton at 9 a.m. with a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence. Donations in Frank's memory may be made to VNA & Hospice of Cooley Dickinson 168 Industrial Drive, Northampton, MA.
