Francis Stanley 1920-2011 Francis Stanley, 91 of Sugar Hill Assisted Living in Dalton, formerly of Adams, died Tuesday morning, December 27, 2011 at the Craneville Place of Dalton Care Center. Born in Pittsfield on December 26, 1920, son of the late Bernard and Jean Riddoch Stanley he attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1939. Mr. Stanley was employed with the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for forty years in the Power Transformer Dept as a stock chaser, retiring in 1982. Mr. Stanley was a World War II Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Adams. He enjoyed playing golf especially at the GEAA in Pittsfield, enjoyed playing cards and taking nature photographs. His sense of humor will be sadly missed at Sugar Hill. His wife, Frances Levy whom he married on July 31, 1948, died March 19, 2006. He is survived by one daughter, Sandra Panetta of Myrtle Beach, SC., and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Francis Stanley will take place Friday, December 30, 2011 at 12 p.m. from the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St.,Adams. With the Rev Michael Mullani, Pastor of the First Congregational Church in Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Maple St. Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations in his memory can be made to the First Congregational Church in care of the funeral home.
