1921 - 2014 ADAMS Mr. Frank J. Presnal 93, of 5A Grove Street, died on Dec. 22, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Adams on May 16, 1921, son of Joseph and Marianna (Szlachta) Presnal. He attended Adams schools and was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Parochial School. A 30 year United States Navy veteran, Frank served in the United States Navy during World War II, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. Mr. Presnal received 14 different medals for his service and was so proud to have served his country. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy in May 1964, Mr. Presnal went to work for the Boston & Maine Railroad until his retirement. His wife of 42 years, the former Adella (Bejgrowicz) Gawron Presnal, whom he married on Dec. 17, 1966, died on Oct. 25, 2008. He is survived by his step-son, Stanley Gawron and his wife, Carolyn of Scarborough, ME, his step-grandson, Nathan Gawron of the state of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Walter and Stanley Presnal, and by three sisters, Helen Rolniak, Veronica Gazaille, and Antoinette Soucie. Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.
