Franklin M. "Beatle" Crandall


Franklin M. "Beatle" Crandall, 78, of 12 Wilbur Lane, Adams died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 peacefully at his home.

Born in Adams on July 6, 1934, son of the late Franklin E. And Lillian F. Lacy Crandall. Beatle attended Adams schools and joined the Air Force after leaving Adams. He was stationed in Greenland during the Korean War and later became a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a member of Post 160 of the American Legion in Adams, and a member of the Operating Engineers of America. He enjoyed traveling the world, making numerous friends along the way and was an avid photographer.

He is survived by his former wife, the former Norma Rumelhart of Iowa, a daughter, Shawnee L. Brown and her husband Scott of Cheshire, two sons, Stormy L. Crandall and Shane L. Crandall and his wife Susan, all of Adams, two sisters, Gail Pratt of Australia, and Dawn Hawkins of Alaska, one brother, Bruce Crandall of the State of Florida. He also has six grandchildren, Travis Shepard, Miranda, Tiffany, Megan, Jared, and Dylan Crandall, a great grandchild, Austin Oleskiewicz.

He was predeceased by a brother, Aaron Crandall.

Services and burial for Franklin M. "Beatle" Crandall will be private and at a later date to be at the convenience of the family. The TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams is in charge of arrangements
